Tasting Notes

Aroma: The wine has great aromatic complexity. Predominantly we find aromas of cinamon, pepper and aromatic herbs. Aromas of ripe fruit and some balsamic notes.

Appearance: Dark Red.

Palate: In the palate, it is a full-bodied wine with high complexity, elegant soft tannin in great balance with strong acidity. The wine has a lot of minerality, representing very well the characteristics of the terroir of Fontanars dels Alforins. The finish is pleasantly long and invites you to drink another glass. After a couple of years more in the bottle, the wine will gain in intensity, ripe fruit will dominate, and tannin will increase the concentration and elegance of the wine.

Winemakers Comments

The grapes of this Finca Enguera Reserva come from the Casa Lluch and Case Corones vineyard in Fontanars Dels Alforins. These are 18-20 year old no irrigated vineyards with an average production of 3kg/vine in this vintage. Soils of these blocks are very heterogenous, going from the sandy limestone soils, where Tempranillio grows, to the calcareous frank-clay soils of Monastrell. 60% Monastrell 30% Tempranillo 10% Marselan.
