Tasting Notes

Aroma: An enticing mix of darker berries on the nose, ranging from blackberries to blackcurrants and black cherries.

Appearance: Bright red.

Palate: A round and crunchy red with black-cherry, dark-chocolate and currant character. Medium body, firm tannins and a savory finish. Hints of cedar and stone.

 

Winemakers Comments

Emiliano Falsini’s philosophy, that is creating wines which are true to their terroir, is achieved through use of natural techniques and yeasts to bring out the fruit, mapping each individual estate to find out what the best techniques will be. He describes himself as intuitive but when you have this much analysis into the individual property, it means his decisions are measured. Both Maria Fittipaldi and Emiliano Falsini agree that wine should be made with no artificial stabilisers in order to have the finest expression of fruit.
