Tasting Notes

Aroma: Spicy aromas of herbs, cinnamon and pepper stand out. As well as berries and ripe fruit, plum and balsamic.

Appearance: Very vivid red colour with slight orange tones.

Palate: Very round in the mouth. The smooth and elegant tannin has a perfect balance with the concentration and acidity of the wine. Long aftertaste.

 

Winemakers Comments

Grapes from the Casa Corones and Casa Lluch estates in Fontanars dels Alforins. Dry Vineyard 18-20 years old. Average production of 3kg/strain. Great diversity of soils ranging from very clayey with a high content of active limestone to sandy loam. The grapes were vinified separately. the Monastrell had a post-fermentation maceration with short pump overs. The Wine rests in not new French oak barrels for 10/12 months and then aged in the bottle.
