NV Broad Arrow Sparkling. The Spikey Bridge Vineyard is situated in Relbia,12km south of Launceston, just below the convict built Kerry Lodge Bridge, or Spikey Bridge. Soils are brown loam and clay over ancient dolerite rock . Grapes are hole bunched pressed and Free Run juice is fermented in stainless steel tank before stabilising ready for secondary ferment . Only a small portion of the base wine is put through malo-lactic fermentation so we can retain crisp, natural acidity and fresh green apple and citrus characters. Tirage is carried out in bottle with approximately 24 months lees age before disgorging. A light dosage is employed so the wine stays crisp and refreshing.
