Tasting Notes
Aroma: Clean and Elegant Orange wine. We find floral aromas reminiscent of orange blossom, peach blossom, but above all intense citrus notes reminiscent of lime.
Appearance: Orange.
Palate: On the palate it is a wine with very good balance, a very balanced scent of sugar that completes the rounding of the wine, with an attractive depth and presence. The aftertaste is long and leaves you with a wonderful memory.
Winemakers Comments
Valencian autochthonous grape almost extinct for which in the past no one bet and which is an essential part of the whites of our family. The grape with which we make Casa Lluch Orange grows in our vineyard at Sierra de Enguera, an area where vineyards were once abundant, but that phylloxera destroyed. Today, from the mountains we obtain increasingly interesting wines, more complex in nuances and aromas.
This “orange” wine made with 100% Verdil, goes through a long maceration process in contact with the skins and seeds, to achieve an extra contribution of colour and tannin, a rather typical process in the vinification of red wines.
– Ripe Healthy White Grapes
– Maceration of 12 days
– Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature (16oC)
– Soft pressing
– Aging on lees
– Slight clarification to obtain a clean wine”
