Located between the vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone and Languedoc, the area of Lys includes thirty hectares of old vines.
The floors consist predominantly of sandstone and limestone, cool climate and the northern exposure often give our wines freshness, finesse and minerality. Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Pinot Gris give white wines. Syrah, Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are grape varieties for red. The maintenance of the vineyard is carried out with the greatest respect for the terroir. The area is in organic conversion since 2010, weeding is mechanical. The treatments against diseases are made in a rational way and only when necessary. The whites are picked at night and early in the season to preserve the aromas and vivacity of our wines. The red grapes are triggered after analysis and tasting berries when ripe phenolic compounds and aromas is optimum. This selection of work before the harvest is essential to get the wines we want: accurate, modern and balanced. The cellar, designed to work by gravity, and modern amenities avoid pumping movements, thus preserving all the qualities of the grape. The wines are made either in stainless steel vats or in truncated tank or half barrels of home Rousseau .
